Rundown of FUTURE In-Person Library Events and Activities
1) Welcome Back Panther eBook Bash!
Learn how to check out electronic books and other resources using the Libby app.Libby can be downloaded on
Apple and Google Play Stores.
2) Yoga, Relax, and Read Club
PCE Panther community, come to the library, relax and follow simple yoga instructions, and "together-read" a calming book.
3) Author/Singer Event: Sue Young
Austin-area storyteller, singer, and songwriter visits PCE to spread the love and joy of music and literature.
4) Student Library Leaders Club
Twelve Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Grade scholars meet once a week to learn library skills and programming standards.
5) Panther Reading Buddies
Fourth-Sixth grade scholars meet and read to their Kindergarten and First grade book pals for thirty minutes.
6) ArtSmart: Austin Public Library Program
Austin Public Library Youth Program Specialist, Ambray Gonzales, presents her stunning ArtSmart AAPI Cultural program, Celebrating Asian Dragons to our PCE Panthers in May. The program encourages us to respect and honor art, diversity, and culture.
7) Scholastic Book Fairs
Book lovers of all ages have the opportunity to purchase books for personal use with proceeds benefiting Pioneer Crossing Elementary School Library.
8) Hispanic Heritage Author Zoom Event: Lizz Huerta
The Last Dreamer author will visit virtually with PCE Fourth-Fifth grade Panthers to talk about her debut novel that celebrates ancient Mesoamerica tradition and culture.
